Fort Wayne Black Chamber of Commerce - Board Member William Muhammad

William Muhammad was raised in southern California. He moved to Indiana, at the request of his job, in 1999. William received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Purdue University Fort Wayne in 2007. On his journey he earned an AS degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Purdue University Fort Wayne and an AS degree in Design Technology from Ivy Tech State College Terre Haute in 2001. William’s knowledge and technical experience in product development and design span 34 years in various engineering environments. For the past 22 years, William has worked as an engineer for DePuy Synthes a Johnson & Johnson company, progressing through numerous roles and responsibilities. His current role is project engineer, responsible for the design and development of medical devices for hip joint reconstruction, which include implants and instruments with emphasis on revision surgeries and acetabular components.
